Default First Time Renters, coming in March 2013

My husband and I will be coming for the month of March as first time renters. Is there anything we should know before we come? We did the LSPP in 2009. Due to family obligations, can't move yet. Concerned about medical issues if they should arrise. Is the Villages hospital emergency reliable or is there a good out patient clinic available? Also we have two small dogs. Are there any good vets in TV? Any information would be welcomed. Really looking forward to coming since we had such a wonderful time in 2007.

Didn't have fun in 2009?

There are many "Urgent Care" facilities that can handle most minor accidents or illness' - The Villages Hospital just opened one across the street from the main hospital.

TOTV has tons and tons of information on the home page of this site about medical services, vets, out patients clinics, dogs, activities, day trips, etc. Also, you can use the search button above to do individual searches on any topic.

I don't know if you are on Medicare as my plan is the kind that you have to tell them your going to a different state if you want to be covered at the lower rates.

Just sayin.....

Welcome Mimiemegan! There are many good emergency clinics here in TV plus a hospital as well. There is an emergency vet in Mulberry Grove and others in the area as well. Dr Vance comes to mind at Mulberry Grove and Dr Valdez at (Park Animal Hospital?) at
466 A and 441/227. Enjoy your month here and you will be a villager in no time! Leave the worries behind and have a great time!!

Thanks again everyone. It's almost time for our month vacation in TV. Leaving on the 28th, will stay at the Microtel for one night before moving into our rental on the 1st. Hope we have good driving weather. We are not the type to drive straight thru from Michigan. Going to take it easy and take 3 days. Looking forward to fun times and some sunshine. See you soon
