Default Auto Transporter

Would someone please recommend a reliable auto transporter. I would like to have a car brought from Long Island, NY to The Villages. Thanks.

I used Dependable from CA to FL. No problems.

If you are still in Long Island a good way to get your car to Florida is to take the Amtrak Autotrain. Drive to Lorton, VA and take the train south to Sanford, FL which is about 1 hr from TV. I used the autotrain when I went down for a month and it was a great experience. The cost for a standard size car is $175, plus you pay for your accommodations. If you go coach it is only $100 per person but I would recommend getting a sleeper car.

My wife and I are taking the train down in March for our closing and bringing two cars on the train; one of which will remain in FL. The total cost for the trip is $853 for both cars and we have a bedroom with bathroom.

Thanks, We can't wait till the closing. And yes the train is great. They even have a complimentay cocktail hour in the lounge car with wine and cheese for an hour before the train pulls out.
