Default SS checks short for Preferred Care Partners plan

For those on Preferred Care Partners medicare advantage plan, the process of terminating last years plan, then re-enrolling in this years plan apparently was too much for Social Security to handle. Your Medicare Part B premium is being incorrectly deducted from your January SS check. It may be March until this is corrected. PCP says that SS will eventually refund the incorrect premium deductions.

Ditto for my wife and myself. No problems. Entire conversion was flawless and January deposits from SS were exact to the penny.

Interesting. Today I have two deposits from SS of $99.90. I assume one is for my spouse's check that was short, and the second is for my SS check that I have not yet received. Also, surprised to see odd cents on the deposits. These are usually always rounded out. Not sure what the delay was.

It's been my experience that once SS screws their figures up you may have a heck of a time getting it straight!

Mine was fine! It was exactly what they said it would be!
