Default Photo/Electronic question

Does anyone have a slide viewer that transfers the image digitally to a computer?

I have slides, I borrowed a viewer, but can't seem to bring up the image to copy.
I know there are services out there that do the transfers..but they seem to be pricey. I have a lot of my parents old slides that I want to put on DVD before I lose the memories for good. I still have relatives that are in the images that I need to have identified. I don't want to lose the opportunity to do that (Mom will know most of the people.)

My computer runs Vista 7.

Thanks for responding..if you have such a scanner, or you know someone that can help me out.

Take the slides to Walmart Photo Lab and they will scan them and convert it to a CD for you !

You can buy a scanner, now quite cheap compared to what I paid for mine. Brookstone has some cheap, or check out EBAY for ones people finished using. The use Adobe Photoshop to clean up the images. Much fun.
