A person posted an item for sale which happened to be a puppy. There were comments like, Why would you buy this dog for an 80 year old woman, $500 is too much, I'll take him for free, $500 is not too much, Villagers have high incomes and spend that much in restaurants for 1 month. I have seen other comments in the 'Items For Sale" section that say it's cheaper on ebay or whatever. If you don't want to buy an item that's for sale then don't but don't shoot down the OP or his item.

Excellent observation, Joe. Thank you!

You are right and I have been guilty.

I typed "I'm good" twice.

Once a while back when someone wanted to trade their house somewhere else for one in The Villages.

And another time ...yesterday and I was just being a smart aleck.

I will endeavor to keep my mouth shut in the future.

But I will think my thoughts.

Because a puppy is not a piece of furniture.

I agree. If you don't want it, why is it necessary to put a comment on here. Some people on here, must make a comment for every post.

I fail to see your point. Can you explain further? Maybe there is something I didn't understand about your 2 puppy posts. I can appreciate that you care for the puppy but making negative comments about the OP or comments about where the puppy came from don't help with finding him a home.

I agree. Unless you have a comment which helps the sale, editorializing in the "Items For Sale" section is not appropriate.

I used to be enthusiastic about Talk of the Villages but I rarely post or even read it any more because of the inane and lame nonsense that seem to like to post because they seem not to have anyuthing better to do.....forget it if it is controversial at all..that really brings out the werewolves.

I was the same way. Too many hide behind their online name and bash anything and everything. Betcha things would be different if we had to use our real name like Facebook. Just saying. . .

I'm John and I approve this message!

P.S. We are planning to get a puppy for my 92-year old MIL. You forget pets you bond too add so much joy. She loves our yorkie, which is bonded to my DW. Gives her "kisses" but having a pet that bonds to you is even better.
