Default Soffit Lighting & Fans in a Birdcage

Does anyone have experience with recessed cans in the soffit for lighting? I'm concerned because my lampost attracts its share of bugs and I wonder if the soffit lights wouldn't serve as another entry point for bugs into the roof?

While I'm asking. Do they make ceiling fans for a birdcage? They would be exposed at all times to the elements. Perhaps if it's that hot, you need to stay inside. But it seems like just moving the air would have some value.

Dan's Fans sells some really good outdoor ceiling fans that have a very high airflow. I'm having a birdcage built and the contractor will install two ceiling fans

I had two fans installed in my birdcage and they work great--moves a lot of air
and make it more comfortable. They were installed by Dans Fans and the electrician
did an excellent job
