Default Wanted Verizon LG flip phone

My phone took a ride in the Maytag...ooops. I was wondering if any body has a verizon phone that they no longer use or if anybody knows where I can get a used one locally. I have seen my phone on e-bay. It's a dumb phone just a simple LG flip phone that is all I want. Any help would be greatfull.

The swimmer is drying out in rice. I can actually make a call on it now but the face is just white no graphics showing up yet.

Call Tom at 653 1368, that's my land line, if you can help thank you in advance.

A way to perhaps get your existing phone dried out and functional:

- remove the battery and SIM card (if your phone has one) from the phone

- put a decent amount of regular ol' white rice (dry, uncooked) in a aip lock bag

- put the phone and battery in the bag - make sure there's enough rice to pretty much cover everything

- zip the bag up and let it be for a day or two

- put the battery and SIM card back in the phone, fire it up, and see if it's functioning properly.

Crazy as it sounds, the above was suggested to me by a friend after I sent swimming with my phone. It worked like a charm! The rice absorbs the moisture. I know this method has worked for other people as well.

Good luck!

Bill

I have done as you suggested and the phone is possibly comming back. I placed it in a bag of rice for one day and it can now make phone calls but the face is still all white no graphics are coming up. I will keep it in the rice for a few more days to see if it will recover. Thanks for the help.

Thanks to one of our generous posters I have a old-new, new for me LG flip phone. It is very similar to my old drounded phone and will serve me just fine. According to the young lady it was just taking up space in her desk drawer.

I will put it to good use. Maybe I will put a PFD on it. PFD (Personal Flotation Device) just in case I toss it in the washer again. No I will be more carefull. First time I have ever damaged a cell phone and I hope the last.

Thanks Again
