Default Patty Andrews Dies

The last of the Andrews Sisters has died. I always loved their "Boogie Woogle Bugle Boy" song and the lovely "I'll Be Seeing You In Apple Blossom Time"

RIP - Patty

I remember the Andrews Sisters being in a couple of Abbott and Costello movies and they sang wonderfully. I specifically remember them in "Buck Privates".

It seems like the big band as well as some of the stars from that era will soon be forgotten.

RIP - I spent the morning listening to the aforementioned songs and every other Andrews Sister selection I have. Gracie - didn't they get their start in Cincy?

They were way before my time but they along with Bing Crosby did my favorite Christmas song ... Mele Kaleekemaka.

Got them mixed up with the McGuire Sisters, too early this AM, but I did enjoy listening to the Andrews Sisters and continued with music from the 40s for the rest of the day.
