Default Golf Carts crossing 441

Has the law changed? Was at Lowes this morning and saw several golf carts crossing 441 from the Lowes side to TV.

Not that I've heard. To my knowledge, the only golf cart type vehicles that can legally cross 441 are LSVs.

I got a post the other day from a lady in Spruce Creek south about another thread. She said the state just recently approved them crossing 441 from the entrance to their development. She said they had been doing it all along and the sherriff turn his head and didn't care. So perhaps that extends on down further. Legal or not, that would scare the pants off me.

Just contacted Lady Lake Police and it is NOT legal to cross 441....But I must admit that it doesn't make sense that you can cross as a pedestrian or biker or handicap scooter but NOT a golf cart....Police did add that, it is in Fla. congress as a possible change to law...

Only LSV carts are able to legally cross...not the regular ones!! Don't care if they've been doing it all along...if they truly got caught they could be ticketed. We checked with Nehemiah _______ (can't remember his last name) and this is what he told us!!!

Probably Lt. Nehemiah Wolfe, of the Sumter County Sheriff's department.
