Default Acoustic Neuroma (AN)

Any Post or present An'er in the Villages... I have large one removed 10 years ago and almost fully recovered...

My dad had one removed in his eighties. They cut a facial nerve slightly.

I have hearing loss and asked to be checked to see if that wasn't a contributor because in some cases I have heard it is genetic.

I don't think they know if it's genetic or not, or even what causes it? Nobody in my family has had one as far as I know back over hundred years. Hearing loss is the first sign and the only way to detect it early other than MRI. My first noticable sign about 18 years before the operation was droopy left eye lid, then headaches which got worse and worse.

My Brother had an acoustic neuroma removed about 20 years ago. He just sold his house (in TV) and is moving into his new home in Gilchrist this week. I just sent you a PM with his contact info.
