Default A new off campus restaurant is being built on Lake Weir

It’s being built on the site of the old Eaton Beach facility on a cul-de-sac off Sunset Harbor Rd. It will be Eaton’s Bar and Grill and will have a boat dock with 16 slips for the convenience of boating patrons. It will also have a lower deck for lakeside dining.

Sounds delightful, but new here, and don't have a clue where you are talking about. Could you be more specific???

Sure. Go to the northern end of TV and get onto Rt. 42 heading east. Look for a large sign that says Weirsdale Mower and take a left there. At the end of this road take a left and then your first right. The new restaurant is at the end of that street.

It’s just a foundation right now so probably won’t open until the fall.

Glad I found this older post of yours and the directions to new restaurant.
I found out about Lake Weir only after we had already returned to Vermont.

Wish we had known about Lake Weir when we were last in TV.
It seems to be the best kept secret.

Instead of driving to the "Chain of Lakes" around the Mount Dora area, we would have just gone right above The Villages....

I just sent pics of the sand beach, the kayakers, etc. to our kids.
Looks nice and much closer than driving to either coast for some beach time for the grandchildren.....

I saw Gator Joe's but the new restaurant will be a nice addition....
Thanks for sharing...........

p.s. I just read that THE VILLAGES is only four miles from Lake Weir.

Does anyone think the Morses will build a canal from Lake Sumter to the new restaurant?

Wasn't an attack on anyone, just a comment on the lack of Christian based businesses that practice Christian principles.(closed on Sundays, family oriented, community minded, child friendly)
But many times, this type of comment will be interpreted as an attack on The Villages, it's developer or its citizenry. Unfortunate, but true.
