Default Experiencing radio static

We have a cart radio and are experiencing annoying static. Any ideas?

Not an expert, but probably RadioFrequencyInterferance (RFI) caused by your own, I assume gas, cart. It's annoying on our car radios when we are near gas carts. I think it's primarily lack of shielding or proper resistantance of the spark plug wires or caps

Most likely a bad ground from the radio to the chassis of the cart or possibly you have no ground at all. Did this just start or has it been happening for some time?

The other problem is the gas carts have a generator, not an alternator, which if not properly isolated electrically will generate radio interference.

Its a common issue with radios in golf cars, both gas and electric. FM is generally fine, but AM is un useable if the vehicle is in motion. They have some noise capacitors that can be added to reduce the noise, these can be found at most high end radio installation stores.
