Question insurance purchase

As an excited first time owner of a home in the Villages, we are inquiring about insurances. Besides the basic homeowners insurance can anyone recommend any other special coverage? Any food for thought would be appreciated. Jan

Talk to the friendly folks at Villages Insurance. They will advise you on hurricane coverage, flood, sink hole, etc. and will provide you with multiple quotes from different insurers for you to consider. I've used them to get my home, auto and golf cart policies.

I would recommend Stacy Marlatt at the Brownwood Office 352-750-3100 she just did our policy and was great at explaining all the options.

We just purchased a pre-owned in Sabal Chase on April 1 and recommend a visit with Susan Bell at the Villages Insurance; clear well spoken professional assistance.
We purchased both home and golf cart insurance. With a pre-owned, sink hole is not available only catastrophic loss.

Curious - what difference does it make if it is pre-owned or new as far as providing sink hole insurance. I know they draw the line, but based on what - the fact the house hasn't been up long enough to show any damage yet? I would think a new build would be more of a risk based on that thinking. I am not referring to catastrophic loss here.

I've been in contact with AAA ofc. in Lady Lake. I'm impressed with their quotes.

Kevin McDonald's Allstate office. Many companies to choose from and you can apply for sinkhole coverage. I have St. John's for home and Allstate for my auto, golf cart and umbrella. Also have a Prudential annuity.

Great staff, friendly and knowledgeable
