Default Legends of the LPGA Tournament

I had the pleasure of going to the tournament at Nancy Lopez today and had a wonderful time. I mostly hung around the par 3 17th hole and the par 5 eighteenth. I sure wish I could swing like a girl! What great athletes and wonderful people!

It was an awesome day at LPGA Legends Tournament. We started out at the 6th hole of Erin Glenn and moved on to the 7th & 8th hole of Ashley Meadows. Saw some amazing shots and yes those ladies can hit a ball. I got some great photo's ...a smile from Betsy King... a wave from Rosie Jones and some chit chat from the wonderful Nancy Lopez. Yes I agree.. great athletes & wonderful people. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Default In case you not aware

Great to see some really good scores. Seems the pros are having some fun and really enjoying TV crowds.

In case folks cannot go to see in person, you can see the golf here:

I had to use Chrome. It did not seem to like IE9.

It was great to see these ladies again and the play was great. One volunteer told me it will be held again next year.

One thing I wondered about. There were a lot of people who drove down the multimodal path through the course and just parked and walked onto the course. Did they have tickets? There was no badge to wear for those who paid, so it seemed impossible to tell who had paid and who had just walked onto the course for free. Since it is all for charity, I would hope people would pay the $10 and support the tournament and the charity.

Thumbs up This is a very positive event for The Villages

As far as the online Internet viewing I posted about? It is only the 18th hole (9th at Ashley). Be warned it gets old in a hurry . Maybe next year they will show 17 and 18. IMO 17 (8 on Ashley) is a great par three and I bet a blast to watch.

As a small nit, I wish the committee had moved the tees up on 18 so that they would try to knock it on in 2. They are all so straight it is quite boring watching driver/fairway/wedge.

PS. I know, I should go if I really wanted to see it, but I golfed instead. Maybe next year.

PS2. Mikeod: I prefer to believe no one would sneak on and I am sticking to it.

No problem with IE10. Thanks for the link.

We happen to drive our cart down the multimodel path & yes we had tickets... we even wore them on a lanyard so they were in full view. What I don't understand is... the fine print said no pets...no coolers...no smoking & cell phones to be in silent mode. Must be a lot of people did not read the fine print as all of those were going on around us including the cell phones ringing.

We attended Legends tournament as well and realyy enjoyed watching the "Legends" play once again. Just an observation/question: I don't recall seeing both the caddie and the player ever riding in their golf cart together...... any rhyme or reason for this??? Just curious........

Another wonderful event run by The Villages. So organized all the time. These gals were great! They sure appreciated the crowds and expressed it with very warm gestures.

Had the pleasure today to play the same nines as the ladies did with the holes in the same place and the greens still somewhat faster than normal although it did not seem as fast as yesterday.
