For those rich enough and crass, here's a totally offensive way to get your overprivileged kids to the front of the line at Disney.

Maybe we could hire them to save seats for us at the squares.

Not sure which theme park it was, thought a Disney one. But some years ago, a family with a grandmother in a wheelchair thought they could jump to the front of the line. They were told the Grandmother could wait at handicapped entrance, but the rest of them had to get in line and when they reached the end, their grandmother could join them. They did not like it, but all the rest of us waiting in line were happy.

It must be a good day in the Villages if we have to look outside the bubble to complain.

Disney has a system in place that everyone can use. I believe it is called Fast Pass, or something like that. It allows you to get a reservation, of sorts, for certain rides and show up at your allocated time and board the rides with no waiting.

This is a case of fraud perpetrated on Disney, and ultimately the average Disney ticket holder, by a "tour company" and the one-percenters (wealthy moms) who want to get their kids to the front of the line and are willing to exploit others to do it. And yes, CWGUY, I'm complaining. But I don't look for things to complain about. I happened to run across this article while planning a Disney trip for our kids this Christmas. |

I hope you two are correct However, this was in the NY Post and on Fox News. And nothing on Snopes.com refuting it.

What was reported on Fox News was that by renting the kid was in a wheelchair, they all got in. Not the right way of waiting for the rest of the party to go through the line.

The situation described in the news article offers the other side of the entitlement issue..same coin different sides. I am certain that those folks buying their way to the front of the line focus only on what they have the abilityto buy.
As an aside when my kids were young we had taken them to Disneyworld on the day we arrived we happened on a woman who was leaving that very day. She suggested we arrive before the parked opned and then work the attractions in a certain order. we followed her advice and everyday we were the first in line. so there is more than one way to skin a cat. |
