Default International Film Festival in The Villages?

I have been to many film festivals before retirement in London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, NYC, DC and the like. Some were elaborate, others were not but still interesting. Wouldn't it not be able to host a small film festival, for example, once a year using some of the theaters of the three Film venues here in The Villages? It can be three or four days to a week. Wonder who can hold such an event? Am sure there will be enough retirees who might want to come. Pipe dream? Just a thought when recently I saw a segment about African movies from Nigeria shown a a recent film festival. Start small with one theater showing interesting recent foreign film and going from there. I know there is a Foreign Film Club here but if I am not mistaken, they are old known films. Festivals have new films which may not end up in distribution.

They have had various film festivals at the Old Mill Playhouse in the Villages. Remember one of Hitchcock films quite a while ago and they had another one of independent films as well which was a few years ago. You may want to contact the Old Mill Playhouse management.
