I think because the heels are too wide. If the shoe slips up and down you're gonna walk out of it.

Well my wife walks out of her shoes everywhere in the house...In other words an apparent unconscious response when the mood strikes her

Shoes are too restricting. I kick my shoes off at the door and never have any on in the house. Being barefoot just feels better.

When the mmod strikes I have found my wife's shoes in perfect alignment in the middle of the floor, by my favorite chair, at the front door and at several corners of the house. Its scary
