Default My Most Heartfelt Thanks

We are new to the Villages; closed on a courtyard villa April 1.

Last Friday we loaded up on groceries at Publix only to have the car die of a weak battery.

Two very sympathetic young people simply "dropped everything" and jumped our car so we could get our groceries home.

...but it doesn't end there...

The problem was more than a dead battery and the car never made it to our new home coming to a complete stop short of O'Dell rotary north on Morse blvd.

The second car to pass with two good Samaritan ladies, learned of our situation, loaded up their vehicle with our groceries and took my wife home!!

We will be forever grateful to these total strangers for their help and willingness to interrupt their day to assist us.

As I waited for the tow, virtually every other person who passed stopped to ask to help. The police officer who pulled up behind said he would stay with the lights if I wanted, but I felt so safe I told him it wasn't necessary.

Well, whom ever you are...thanks for your help and introducing newbie frogs to the spirit of The Villages.

Thanks for the positive report. TV is a good place to have car or cart problems, so many people are willing to assist.

You may reconsider your signature line.

Yes, it is amazing! A person can stop on the side of a cart path to make a phone call and someone always stops to ask if that person needs help! That's what TV folks are all about!!

Welcome to The Villages!!

This is typical of Villagers; get used to it! You've had a positive experience here, and this makes it easier to "pass it forward." Thank you for posting a compliment; so often we're quick with complaints, while compliments too often get lost in the shuffle....

Thank you for your post. Another reinforcement on why I want to move to TV someday.
