Question DirecTV Satellite dish

Are there any restrictions on a DirecTV satellite dish on homes in the villages? I have purchased a home in Sanibel and will be coming down in a month or so. I am not sure if I want to take my DirecTV or use cable service.

I have also purchased a home in Sanibel but not sure when I will be moving down. I have a friend who is moving to Buttonwood and he just had Direct Tv installed in May. They are not moving down full time for a couple of years but after the first 90 days, direct tv will allow them to turn the service on and off as needed.

When I moved two years ago, it's a permanent move so I brought my 2 Directv HD boxes. After calling for installation they gave me 3 months of HBO/Cinemax for free. If you're a snowbird, I would leave the boxes up north and get new ones when you have installation. The boxes they have now are much smaller or you could get one that records up to 5 shows at once.

I don't believe there is much restriction as far as where you can put the dish. They would like it out of sight, but if you're not able to get the satellite, they really can't say no. On CYV's they would like you to put the dish on the side and at least 15' back of the privacy fence. The Directv installer knew that already and put my dish in that spot.
