Talking Football season's just around the corner

I KNOW MANY OF YOU (LIKE ME) ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO FOOTBALL SEASON. WELL, HERE'S A LITTLE RECAP OF LAST YEAR.........

Coincidence??

Just wondering!

Alabama beat Arkansas

and Arkansas fired their coach.

Alabama beat Tennessee

and Tennessee fired their coach.

Alabama beat Auburn

and Auburn fired their coach.

Then Alabama beat Notre Dame and the Pope resigns ...

Damn, I wish Congress had a team.

I envy you guys that played High School or Collage Foot Ball. I did not play, so I have no interest in it at all. I get some strange looks when someone will say something to me about a special thing in the last nights game and I have no idea what he is talking about. Or when some says to me being from Iowa, how about ************, he sure is doing great in the pro's and again, I have that dumb look on my face because I never heard of the guy. I must be one of very few males that have not interest in Football or basket ball.

I am a huge ND fan...too bad we didn't show up for the BC game! I'm still wearing black over that!

On the NFL side,Chicago's Urlacher retired...I'll be in black all year!

I hear ya, golfingnut. I went through high school clueless about what was going on on the football field (small school, not very good team). I went through UGA bored with going to football games--bored!! UGA! Many good pros came out of that school. I went through the Steelers Steel Curtain era and only watched four super bowls.

When our second son started playing football in 5th grade, I called the quarterback the "thrower," much to everyone's amusement. He went on to be varsity. Of course we went to every game, and somewhere along the line I got hooked. It didn't hurt that the Steelers were having a great run back then.

But if it weren't for that forced attendance...

LOL Thank you for understanding. We ended up with two DAUGHTERS and two GRAND DAUGHTERS, so we went to all the gymnastic meets and things associated with the girls, but I get confused trying to remember what ball is egg shaped and what one is round.

And then you moved here and found out some of the balls have holes in them!
