Age old question..............Gas vs. Electric. What is best???? Big Pro's and Big Con's of each?? Thanks.

O. K. Here's my 2 cents.
We've been here for just under 4 years. Until November of 2012 I had an EZ Go RXV (2010) and absolutely loved it .One problem was I used it too much. You see people are under the assumption that the batteries are warranteed for 3 years.That's not the case .The battery warranty is based on amp hours so the more you use it the more you're going to have to replace the batteries for roughly $750.I was going through battteries every 13 months or so.
I presently own a 2013 fuel injected Yamaha gas cart.As stated I bought this cart in November.Actually the last week of November & I've put 5600 miles on it in just about 6 months.I put about $14 a week in gas so if you mulrtiply that out over 53 weeks (13 months) you'll see I'm not saving money compared to replacing batteries in an electric.
The biggest advantage to owning a gas cart is the distance I can go without worrying about losing power.In my electric 50 miles was about all I could get from a full charge.In a gas I get over 200 miles on a tank of gas.
My wife still has an electric EZ Go Rxv ( the best electric by far in my opinion) which she loves .Of course she doesn't use hers like I do mine.
When people ask me how I like the gas compared to my EZ Go I tell them I like it but it's like I went from a Cadillac to driving a 4 wheel drive truck.The electric is so smooth & quiet & the gas is noisy & doesn't handle as nicely as the electric. I also say if they came out with a battery that lasted for someone like me I would go back to the electric in a heartbeat.

if want a silent cart to listen radio and no smell with max distance btww charges of 50 miles get an electric

if want to go over 50 miles and cant remember to plug it in,,, and want drive a cart that is just like a fast riding lawn mower ... get a gas.....

i am no way blasting those who try to figuer out the cost or those who have gas ,,, u have look at what u need!, gas i alot hassle,,, but do have fill it up at the gas station....electric u got to plug in and the batteries do wear out

It is better to hear the scores of opinions of the actual owners of each of theses type carts.
You will see in one hour what I mean.

I was just at villages golf cart today. Salesmen said now 98 per cent gas. As mentioned above cost of replacement batteries vs a oil change once a year.

as a person who has had both and has utilized each as a second car, based on my experience, I agree that each has their merits, however my choice is gas .
