We lost power for about an hour from 4:15 a.m. through about 5:15 a.m. here in Lynnhaven. Did anyone else's power go out last night.

We do not have a rain gauge but it came down heavy for about 90 minutes.

Default Lost power twice in Amelia

It started POURING at exactly 4am. I went to bed at 4:10 and then about 5 mins later there was super-bright lightning that looked like it came into my bedroom & then I heard a CRACK like it hit the solar tube in my bathroom. I was so scared that I called the fire dept to come check the house. I've never seen lightning so bright & so often. My brother lives on the historic side & he said they didn't get much rain & no lightning. Later on I was sitting in the front bedroom which is my computer/tv room & there was just a constant flow of traffice on our little side street. I had called SECO because of a problem even after the power came back on(for the 2nd time) & he said lightning struck a streetlight near me & they had O'Dell blocked off. I think he said something about a water main break too.

Glad TV is getting some much needed rain. Is Paradise Lake filled up yet?
