Unhappy Frogs in the pool...

Sadly two young frogs recently croaked in my pool, like died. The cage and thresholds are tight and I rarely see an insect. Are they coming in through the drain or what? I don't like that they die for no good reason. solutions??

I can't address how they got in, but if you are running chlorine in your pool, that is likely what caused their demise. :-( We had a pool in AZ with chlorine, and often found dead frogs in the skimmer.

small frogs, geckos, etc will be able to get into your pool and screen room area. We had it happen a lot when we lived in Orlando, too. They are very flexible.....and they can get in when they are very small....

I like a few geckos inside the screen, because they eat spiders.

Anoles and frogs are flexible enough that they can squeeze right under the ground rails on lanai, etc. I work to keep these critters out for a number of irritating reasons but mostly because they are a food source for larger scarier critters

They can also get in with plants or other garden material you may bring into your cage.

When I moved in 3 years ago there were dead tiny baby frogs everywhere, on window sills, in the garage, in the bathtub

Thanks kitty for giving me my laugh for today. Within the past two months, i have found 2 live frogs in my house---toilet & in my bathroom cup with my tooth brush. The second frog was after i put new vents on the roof. Now before i sit down, i look to be sure i don't have company looking at my rear. Lol
