Museum is wonderful, the area has so many things to do, I would suggust and overnight and some homework. I could suggest things but don't know your interests and level of activity. Circus Museum has lots of artwork...lots and lots of artwork.

ooh, the Ringling Museum! A full day all by itself!

Website: Ringling Museum of Art

Also you can just google Sarasota. There is so much to do. There are several tourboats that go out in the bay and you can see all the beautiful estates and the sunset. Fun!

........and on MONDAY the ART Museum only is FREE admission.
( at least it has been for many years, but check first..things do change.)
Yes just walking the grounds and touring the ART Museum is
a full day, especially if you appreciate Art Museums.

Be sure to take advantage of the FREE transportation ON the acerage.
They have oversize 6-8-and 10 passenger golf cars to deliver you to each area.
You can catch them immediately to your LEFT after you go thru
the admissions area. ( right outside the gift shop).

They will drop you directly in front of ....The ART Museum....Mabel's Rose Garden...
...The Mansion...the Outdoor Cafe... or The CIRCUS Museum. They run OFTEN.

There is also a Coffee Shop on second floor ABOVE the Gift Shop.

and I agree............The Tour Boats are definately worth the time.

Enjoy.

Our favorite place to eat is The Columbia Restaurant.......
...it is directly ON the circle (roundabout) on NE corner....
right where CR 789 heads North toward Longboat Key and
Anna Maria Island.

This is LESS than 6 miles from The Ringling Home and Museums.

Also... if you continue straight on John Ringling Blvd.....
make a LEFT (South) on Benjamin Franklin Drive.....some mighty nice beach
will be on your Right......
...if you continue to end of Ben Franklin Dr....there is a park (no beach)...
watch the sailboats and look across to Siesta Key.
