This bank owned house was just reduced last night by $100k.

The initial price was set at $299k by Fannie Mae. After the above reduction it is now $149,000.

What is happening in that neck of the woods. There must be a rumour or two out there.

the price tracking @ lyle gant's site [http://lylegant.mfr.mlxchange.com/AWPDetails.asp] indicates the sales price is $249,900 [eff 7/7/13] - an increase from $149,999; which was a decrease from the 4/13 listing of $299,900. other sites from a bing search also indicate a selling price of $249,900.
