Does anyone know anything about the sudden death of a resident in the villas in Mallory Square? I believe it was Emily Villas. A lady in the Mallory pool was talking about it on Monday: nothing in the paper that I have seen. She said she lives in the area and the coroner was there for five hours. They took out someone in a body bag and the other resident left in an ambulance. They were youngish people, in their late forties or early fifties.

Five hours for the coroner to be there seems like an inordinate amount of time, based on my experience watching NCIS. It seems like it has to be one of two things; either domestic violence or an intruder killed one victim and injured the other. Did the lady at the pool know if the police had been called? Was it a couple or two women or two men? When did this happen? It would be nice to have a newspaper that reported on this type of event. I checked the obits on-line this week and didn't see anybody in that age range. Fortunately, there are not many shootings in TV except for a rash of self-inflicted gun shot victims earlier this year. Keep us posted. Last edited by janmcn; 07-11-2013 at 02:30 PM. Reason: changed wording |

When my neighbor passed 3 years ago, the sheriff dept. and funeral home took an extremely long time to come and clear the scene. He had been quite ill and was not expected to live. However, the police and firemen must make reports and the sheriff must collect all medications. All time consuming and not at all like CSI. If that was the case here, we'll not know for quite a while.....maybe never.

Normally suicides don't involve two people. If you read the OP, the poster said one person was dead and another person was transported out of there by ambulance. |

Well it's possible one was so distraught that they needed medical attention at the hospital. I know I would if it was my loved one and I wouldn't want a bunch of people that don't have a clue about what happened gossiping on an internet forum about it.

I going to save money and stop the paper. I can get into the pool free so I can learn everything I need to know.

We have this forum where we can learn all of the latest gossip and rip the developer too. AND bash on The Daily Sun.
I know why some folks don't like The Sun. I know why I do. It could have been a natural death and the other half of the couple unable to either realize it because of something like Alzheimers and also unable to care for their own independent living. That happened to my great aunt when I was a little girl. He died and she didn't realize he was dead for a long time. Getting old can be grim.

I agree and I read this forum for information, gossip, snarky comments, and just general rants. However, I would like to see us draw the line on gossip, speculation, and jokes when it comes to the death of an individual.

What difference does it make if we do or don't know?

It is why people read their local newspapers. We called them the, "Hey, Martha," stories. "Hey, Martha. Did you see the story in the paper about...?"
Most of us are curious by nature and even more so when it involves something or someone near where we live or a place we are familiar with. |
