Smile Life is like?

Will be passing papers next week on a home in the Ashleigh Villa area of Calumet Grove. It won't be a permanent move just yet. Would like to know the good and bad (if anything) about the area. We loved the picturesque look of the area, but what is it like to live there? (Neighbors, neighborhood)? I know it's further away from the main centers, but what does it have to offer? Any info might be helpful in getting settled. pting

in my book it's a great place to live and i don't see it as inconvenient to town squares!

it is close to mulberry shopping crenter and the new medical facility; close to nancy lopez golf/country club [and i think the only walking exercise trail in the villages]; close to the savannah center; an easy ride down el camino to spanish springs town center or to the hospital; and it is convenient to access rt 42 that takes you out to 27/441 for getting to the markets of marion, ocala, or the summerfield walmart and aldis!

lake sumter landing is not really inconvenient and neither is southern trace for shopping and dining!

Like those of us who live near your place, the quiet is a blessing. The short distance to recreation and shopping is a terrific. No traffic compared to many other areas in The Villages. If we want 'stimulation' we can go to two town squares. I'll predict that your neighbors will be some of the friendliest you've ever had.

I thought it went like this: "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get."
