I bought a 50 bucket card that you can just swipe at TV ball machines which reduced my price to $3.00/bucket which I think is pretty reasonable.

Don't forget about the driving range run by the VFW down by the Villages Wood Club shop. And it is accessible by golf cart.

There must be a sliding scale for the cards. I purchased 20 buckets on my card and it was $70 or $3.50 per bucket. If you purchase the tokens at the window, they are $4.00 per bucket. I wil have to ask about that next time I have my card loaded. With my wife and me both using the card, it won't take long to use up 50 buckets.

Default Driving range

I think that the best value is Oxford golf on 301, just south of 466. I believe that the large bucket is 110 balls for $7 and you are hitting off of grass.

Oxford is a very nice place and seems to be getting busier since they opened. Tree Tops on rolling acre rd is also nice and for 8 dollars I get a huge bucket that tires me out! The vfw range is very reasonable and I enjoy getting there by golf cart, although you can only hit off mats and the mats are kind of old and hard. Sarasota is still my favorite. I love firing 7 and 6 irons at that floating green. For those that prefer hitting off mats, Monday and Wednesday are mat days at Sarasota, Tuesday and Thursday are mat days at Palmer, and I think Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are mat days at glenview??

It is a sliding scale. It's so convenient to have a card to use and not have to carry a wallet around. I just keep my card in one of my golf bag pockets then I always have it.
