Default clear coat acrylic for table top

I am interested in finding a person to put acrylic sealer down on my kitchen table. Most restaurants have some type of this sealer. it looks and feels like a clear plastic finish.
Can someone supply a name?

Thank you

Try it yourself. After a fine sanding, apply a marine high gloss polyurethane, let dry and apply a second coat. It doesn't look like a plastic finish but keeps the look of a nice shiny wood finish. A gym finish will do the same. I've done this and it lasts for decades.

We just got it at a hardware store. Now it was a long time ago, 15-20 years or so but I imagine any one would have it. The high gloss is tougher than just a satin. so be sure to get that. Water doesn't mark, it's just great. We used the table for every meal. The marine or gym finish is what you want.
