Question Driving from TV to the east or west coast of Florida

Have any of you driven to the east coast or the west coast of Florida? Just wondering, given the traffic patterns, how long it takes to get to the east coast or the west coast of Florida. Thanks.

For what it is worth, you can go on randmcnally.com. They have a mileage calculator.

Just put in the two cities and it gives you the mileage and approximate time.

FL has a definite lack of East/West good highways!!!!

A couple of hours in either direction will get you wet!!

It's about 2hrs to New Smyrna Beach on the East Coast via rte 42. Very nice ride. It's also about 2 hrs. to Clearwater Beach on the West Coast. More hwy driving.

Plug your destination in your Navigation system, it will give you route, mileage and estimated time. Can try different routing such as fastest or shortest (to save fuel).

OP, it's two hours or less to either coast depending where on the coast you plan to go. We go to Cocoa Beach because we have relatives there and it's about two hours or less via turnpike and 528 Beachline. It's about hour and half direct to Tampa Bay area its another half hour to get to the nice beaches on the west coast. Two hours to New Smyrna Beach on the east coast where you can drive on the beach and tailgate and return to TV the same day----one of our favorite day trips with our friends or by ourselves.
