Default Matching tile

Hi,

Just bought an Aspen and there is tile in the kitchen dining room and carpet in the living room. Wanted to change the living room rug to match the nice tile so I could have it in the kit, d/r, and l/r. Finding it impossible to do so because they can't match the die lot. Has anyone else had this issue.

Looks like I will have to keep the rug or change up everything.

Ugh.

Thanks for input. Probably just venting.

We did that and was able to find the same tile. Your tile contractor may be able to find it. The lines weren't matching so we put a really pretty transition strip in and it looked so nice we put it in each doorway too. Might work if dye lot is just a little off.

We had the same issue a few years ago. We were not able to match the tile but wanted to tile the kitchen, hallways & bathrooms. We found a tile that complimented the original and then I had our installer make the threshold area out of small tiles that matched both the original & the new perfectly.

Hardwood is another option.

Last year we tiled everything but the bedrooms and this year did the master.

The dye lot was off and we decided to do a design (about 5 in. wide), between the bedroom and hall. I think it looks great!

At one time The Villages was getting all their tile from a company called Trinity Tile. I dont know if they still do. BUt Trinity Tile has a warehouse in ocala off of Rte75 where you can go and tell them you section and lot number and they will match the tile and grout you have in your home. If it is not the exact match, they will get you the closest match being produced.

They also have a great showrom!

We had laminate and it is not nearly as hard on your feet as tile.
