Caly is almost 11 and I dread the day I am faced with the same decision as your friend. I have been there many times before and it always hurts more than people that do not have dogs can imagine.

We recently had to put down our 13 year old Maltese who was very sick with Cushing Disease. That was the hardest thing to do. She was so much a part of our family. Now the house feels empty. Dogs are the best.
