Default Publix in Florida

I use a great site for matching sales and coupons (southernsavers.com for those who care to try it) and I've noticed that there are some differences in the sales for Publix in Florida.
One is that on the BOGO deals, in FL you have to buy 2 of the item. In other states (AL & GA) you can only buy 1 and it is still 50% off.
Another is that there is no coupon doubling in FL.
I've also been told that Publix doesn't do the Wednesday penny item. Is that true? For those who don't know, in the Wed. paper with the sale ad, there is a coupon where you get a mystery item for a penny. Do they not do that at the Publix stores around TV?
Do they have senior day on Wednesday? (5% off for everyone 60 or older).

Is this a trick question?

HA!
Actually, they have been told to give it to anyone who asks. We get it (but then my hubs is almost 60).

When buying a BOGO at Publix, you are buying two so any coupon for two is honored, even though you are only paying for one.

It's true that there is no coupon doubling in Florida and there is no penny item, nor a senior day at Publix.
