Could you please be more specific in your question?

When you move from one homestead to another in Florida you file an application to transfer your Save Our Home Benefit from your old location to your new one - that is called portability - we applied but I don't see anything indicating such on the Trim Notice we received yesterday - I was wondering if anyone moved within Florida - filed an application and had anything noted on their Trim Notice - portability is explained in detail on the County Web Site - thank you.

Everyone gets one. It is a list of your last year's taxes and what the new taxes will be this year if they pass all of the recommendations. TRIM stands for Truth in Millage.

I got mine yesterday. Yours might be in the mail.

It is an annual thing.

That might be a question for the tax collector.

did not see a q/a on the sumter county tax site but did see this on the lake county site - maybe it will help?

Q: What happens after I apply?
A: After receiving your application for portability, we will send it to the Property Appraiser in the county of your
previous homestead if other than Lake County. Then, your previous Property Appraiser will issue a “Certificate of
Portability” DR-501R which will be mailed back to us. We then calculate your portability benefit and apply it to your
new homesteaded property.
Q: How will I know that I qualified for Portability?
A: If you do not qualify based on the DR-501R we receive from your previous Property Appraiser, we will notify you
by July 1st of the applicable tax year. No formal notice is mailed if you qualify until the TRIM notice which will
be sent to you in late August.
