While we were on vacation, our home sold! Closing is scheduled for October 1. We'll be moving to TV shortly after--like the next day, because we'll be homeless!
Next thing is to find a place to rent down there for a couple of months while we look for our new home! So exciting, but scary at the same time! |

Congratulations....
![]() We are looking forward to getting the same good news! The only difference for us is we have been living in TV for a couple of months now. Owning two homes at the same time is the scary part for us. ![]() Don

Many of us have been down the same road. Homelessness is only temporary!
We closed on our NJ house on a Friday, arrived here on Sunday with two cars filled with clothes, aero bed and dog. We signed contract on our TV spec house on Monday, closed on Thursday, our moving van showed up on Sunday. You may not have to rent long or at all. Our Village real estate agent arranged for us to stay at a Lifestyle villa for that first week. With so many spec houses built, you might be just as lucky as we were! We did our homework for a year and came down with a list of home models that we were interested in. Good luck and congratulations! |

We were thinking about buying before selling this one, but ended up not having to go that route. Thank goodness! I don't think I could have handled the stress! LOL!
Actually, there isn't a lot to pack. We weeded out a ton of stuff before we put the house on the market. DH is having some anxiety about starting over. I, on the other hand, could leave everything (except sentimental stuff) behind and not think twice about it. If we take any furniture, it will only be living room, dining room, and bedroom set. We're leaving all the linens, plates, flatware, glasses, etc., behind. I'm only taking my new set of pots and pans, a couple of favorite casserole dishes, a new set of mixing bowls, and our Keurig coffee maker! I just don't get attached to "stuff." The biggest problem in the whole move is our dog. Trying to find a rental that will accept a 75-lb. spoiled dog is going to be our biggest challenge I think. I have a couple of phone calls to make, so we'll see. Maybe something will work out. Okay. Back to making phone calls and catching up on work email! |
