Does anyone know anything about Bobby Allen. Allegedly, he has painted a number of properties in The Villages. We would like any information about him and/or his work ethic. Any information about the quality of his work would be helpful.

Since nobody has responded to your request let me help. Ask Bobby for a list of names and phone numbers of the people he has worked for, also check with Sun Biz to see if his company is registered with the State. Last and most IMPORTANT check his insurance Binders. When you are satisfied hire him. REMEMBER NO MONEY UP FRONT FOR A PAINT JOB. LEN

Bobby Allen is nothing but trouble. He was hired to paint the interior and exterior of our home, take off the pop corn ceilings, apply knockdown to the ceilings, prime and paint them, enclose two doorways, and replace baseboards. He painted approximately 90% of the exterior, completed maybe 50% of the baseboards, made a bloody mess of the ceilings, never applied any paint to the interior, did not enclose the doorways, and made off with two thirds of the money he was to be paid. He will not return phone calls to us, Sherwin Williams (he ran out on the money he owes them as well), the sheriffs department, or the States Attorneys Office. We got references, checked Better Business Bureau, checked with the police department, and saw work he allegedly did. Now we find out that he actually worked for another company here in The Villages and was fired (no big surprise). Needless to say this was a costly mistake. We have filed charges for Fraud with the Sheriff's Department and filed charges with Crimes Against the Elderly (States Attorney's Office).

If you know of anyone who is even considering employing this man, tell them to contact us...we have the pictures to prove what we are saying. GIVE HIM NO MONEY!!!! DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!!
