Default MVP garage door opener

Tried to close my garage door yesterday and my wife was not yet out of the way so the beam stopped the door from coming down as it should. The problem is that the door opener will no longer work. I've tried everything I could think of and the manual is useless. Any ideas as how to get the bugger working again? Thanks.

Default beam alignment?

You may have already checked this, but all we can think of is to make sure one of the sensors didn't get kicked out of alignment. Its easy to do. They are mounted at either side of the door on/near the floor. The door will not function if that happens.

I did notice that the small red lite on one of the sensors is out. Played around with it but the lite will not go back on.

No answer, but does the wall switch open and close the door?
You should be able to find a manual on the internet and look at the troubleshooting section.

If it's like mine, there's only a light on one side.

Any chance it threw a breaker or the GFI?

We also had problems and used Ryan O'Cull to fix it, he was great and inexpensive.

There is a little hole on the opener on the wall, take a toothpick or small wire and put it in the hole, it will reset it. It worked for me. It's on the face.

If you reset it by putting in the small wire or toothpick or a paperclip bent straight, if you have the touch pad, you will have to reset the touch pad with your password. ROMAC on Rolling Rock Road installs many here at the Villages and they may provide some advice on troubleshooting.

Default Called RoMac

... the guy came out and took 5 seconds to fix. Seems there are two switches on the top of the box on the ceiling, u can't see must be done by feel, that must be turned back on to reset. No charge but we asked the guy why don't they document this in the manual, he gave us THE LOOK.

Pull the ceiling plug out for a few minutes.
