Default Villages of Hillsborough & Collier

How far are they from SS town square and LSL?

We would like to be centrally located but the price of pre owned villas are just as much and more than new villas in Hillsborough & Collier.

I check home prices weekly and last few months they have increased dramatically. We will be doing our LSV starting Saturday and its time to buy before they go even higher. Checkbook will be in hand!

We will not retire for 13-15 months so hope to rent it out long term. I may need some guidance from you knowledgeable people. Any and all suggestions appreciated.

Life is full of surprises and never thought I would be a landlord, but its an adventure I'm looking forward to. It's kind of crazy what people do to get to TV. Lol!

Tippy.

Hillsborough and Collier are relatively close to Brownwood and probably about 14 miles from Spanish Springs and maybe six miles from Lake Sumter Landing. I am just guessing on how far but The Villages is about 17 miles from top to bottom.

It is probably just as important to consider where the restaurants are and the grocery stores and the doctors and retail, such as Kohls and Target and Best Buy and Lowes and Home Depot at Walmart etc,

Those things are mostly located along 466 and 441/27 at this time. I imagine that all of those things will be coming soon to the Brownwood area and to 466A. There are two groceries now along 466A and that will help some for the congested season coming up.

What is at all three of the squares are entertainment and some restaurants and some shops.

We live just off of 466 and think we are really convenient to everything.

I imagine that folks who live close to 441/27 and Rolling acres intersection feel lucky to be close to all of that shopping.

The squares are considered to be important to people before they move here in many cases.

I would say those two villages are 10 min to LSL and 20 min to SS by car. Double for golf cart. Don't forget to add in the price of the bond to the house price. Newer areas have a $20,000 plus bond not quoted in the price. Older areas have the bond partially paid. As for rentals, if you count on more than Jan-March you are taking a risk. Lots of competition for off season. It is still the best place to live in the world. Yes, I have taken the cool-aid.

By golf cart, I can go from the Historic Side of TV to Brownwood in 45-50 minutes.
By car, I can go from the Historic Side of TV to Brownwood in 30-35 minutes.

When I do this, I am going across the golf cart bridge over state route 441 and through Spanish Springs Town Square and I don't really go through Lake Sumter Landing, but I go about a block from it when I make my turn.

I hope you have a fantastic trip and select a house that is perfect for you! Make good memories and please, let us know how your visit is going and don't hesitate to ask us questions along the way.

Hi tippy sent you a pm...we are in fernandinia and are a short ride to brown wood 10 minutes by golf cart...20 minutes to LSL and 30 ish to SS...all by golf cart...squares are for shopping and entertainment ....if we had our dream it would be closer to LSL ....kind of in the middle...remember the pre owned are about the same price, but there will be up grades and lower bond...so in the Long run find the home you love...most everyone thinks the village they live in is the best
