Hi everyone at TV. We (Terry and Tasa Stoyer) have arrived at our new home in Amber villa. We love it even if it is raining. Arriving Friday we now need a golf cart. We looked at golf carts at Golf Cart concept. Has anyone bought from GOLF CART CONCEPT? If so dId you have a good experience with them or is it best to stay within the Villages when. buying? Any input would be appreciated.

Bought mine from The Villages Golf Car store in Colony Plaza from a true gentleman. His name is Ross Moore. You couldn't meet a nicer more honest person.

Go to Cart World Golf Carts and look at their Club Car factory re-manufactured carts if you are looking for the best value in carts.

First decide what your plans are for utilization. do you want a golf cart primarily for golfing or will you use it as a second vehicle?

Next decide if distance is an issue for you. If so compare a gas vs an electric cart with or with out additional batteries.

Next consider the brand Yamaha club cart e-zgo Par Car, etc.

Make sure you read all the additional forums below that have quite a bit of useful information about different brands and where to buy. It seems like a lot of people have bought from Carts & Clubs in Ocala which isn't that far away especially if their prices are better. Good luck,

We purchased our cart, a 2008 EZ Go gas, from an ad in the Daily Sun a few years ago. We were sitting around having a Friday morning coffee and my wife had circled a few that we might have been interested in, but she had put a 'star' by that one. We looked at it, drove it, made a deal and picked it up the next morning. We then had it serviced, added a few things to it and we were on our way. Patience is the key word in getting what you want. Shop around.

No matter where you buy your cart & what you paid, someone is going to post that they got the same cart thousands of $ cheaper some where else .

Go to Carts and Clubs before you make a decision and get an understanding of their standard package. Their curtains, windshield, high speed gear and heavy duty clutch, etc.etc. can't be beat on a Yamaha anywhere else. They also offer onsite service in your driveway for oil changes and routine maintenance - no one takes your cart away on a truck for the day.

Check out Carts and Clubs in Ocala. Great design on cart enclosures, with easy access in and out. Plus, they have curb service for maintenance.

My sweetie is motor savvy and we purchased both of our carts, one gas and one electric from individuals. One whose mother in law had died and one who was moving to Scotland to be with her parents.

Both have been remarkably dependable and fun to own and were nicely priced.

Keep all options open, but Rubicon wisely directed you to figure out just what you would be using it for, and how long it would be stored at intervals too.

There has been a lot of information posted in this and several previous threads on this subject. However YOU need to make a few decisions before buying. As stated earlier in this post:
1) how will the cart be used; as a second car, will this be only cart, who will be using it, how will it be used - basic golfing and the occasional trip to the squares/ pools, etc. distance traveled per trip/ per day
2) gas or electrical- personal preference and intended use will answer this
3) go shopping and test drive as many carts as you can from all of the manufactures but only after you have solid answers to questions 1 &.2
This way YOU have made an informed decision not an emotional one. This way you should have no regrets
