When buying tickets for an event at the SC , do you get assigned seating or is it like going to a movie theater, find your own?

Assigned . When you buy ticket they show you seating plan and you pick seats.

If you purchase your tickets for shows at the Savannah at one of the Box Office kiosks you will be shown a "map" of the theater seating and asked to pick which seats you would like to purchase.

So I guess that means there is no advanced seat picking. That you should not pick you own seat till you get to the ticket window and see the seating chart. Guess that could be a problem cuz you might pick someone else's seat.

They show you what seats are still available for purchase when you buy.

There are also a limited number of seat spots for wheelchairs.
