Default Certified Financial Planner

Is it worth paying a certified financial planner $1000 to review my portfolio and create a financial plan for me? They will then charge $150.00 an hour for future meetings.
Pros/Cons
Thanks in advance for your help.

I'd say look around. We have a financial planner who "never" takes $$$$ for our consultations. Sounds shady to me if they do.

Average costs can range from $1,500 to $2,500 and $150-$300 an hour. Depending on the size of your portfolio it could be worth it.
