no idea about the opening. but one idea about 'good italian' - it is all personal and dependent on one's taste buds - so don't count on that restaurant meeting your standard for 'good'!

Must be getting close to opening. There were people in there eating last night even though it didn't appear the restaurant was open.

Couldn't agree more.
Only good Italian place around here ( in my humble opinion ) is Giovanni's. Unfortunately it gets too crowded and there is no where to wait for a table unless you want to wait outside. No bar either.
But great food.

We looked inside the other week while they were putting the finishing touches on - really nice looking place. Has a nicer ambiance than most of the restaurants around - hope the food is a good as the décor.

They have another place in NJ? This is starting to sound promising.

Giovanni's is our favorite--so authentic and delicious, but we're not going to wait standing on the sidewalk there.

It's always packed with a line of people standing around outside. They need a much bigger place for twice the number of tables, and it would be filled all the time.

My wife talked to someone at the restaurant yesterday and he said they were finishing up some last minute things and hoping to open Wednesday, Thursday or Friday of this week.

Yes, it is their original and only other location. Check out their website which shows The Villages Coming Soon that for the time being links to their employment application for anyone seeking employment there. Mezza Luna Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria, Manalapan NJ 07726
