Default Mezza Luna.....dinner tonight

Stopped by there and it was open. Place was packed but we managed to get two seats at the bar. Food was great. Prices reasonable. Happy hour too.
Fran and Darcy behind the bar. Perfect !

Had dinner there last night. A couple of minor glitches but nothing to stop me from going back (but I won't have the veal again -- too tough/overcooked). Pasta was truly al dente, sauces were excellent, service was very good. Good house wines. It would have been nice if the manager were out on the floor, talking to folks, finding out the glitches, finding what was great, but he wasn't. Another plus -- this is NOT a family restaurant. As much as I love my grandson and kids in general, it is nice to eat out occasionally with just adults.

Check it out, folks. Don't think you'll be disappointed.

Methinks given the critical acclaim form posters about other new eateries I will wait an appreciable length of time before venturing out, perhaps after April sometime

Had dinner at Mezza Luma last night. Although it was packed, we got a table in about 5 minutes. Then had to wait 50 minutes for food, which was very good except they had run out of bread (we did get some a little later). We had 2 waitpersons, a young man and a young woman. He was working his tail off while she stood around chatting with people at other tables. Manager said she was fired.
OK, it's brand new, they have to work out the glitches, the kitchen is first rate, the service is not perfect. I will definitely go back.
All the TOTVers who have been pining for a GOOD Italian restaurant like the ones they were used to in NY, NJ, Chicago, etc., I think it's here.

Was waiting for this restaurant to open as I went for my yogurt next door. Glad to hear that pasta will be Al Dente and the place is not a family restaurant. We need few more restaurants where one could dress up a little more in TV. Quiet classy restaurants where you can talk. Now my wish will be a bit more unique plates such as fried Zuchini and fried Zuchini flowers in season, a nice risotto, calamari de mer where it won't be just cuttlefish but octopus and small fishes too. How about pasta with sea urchins? I know, am asking too much and this isn't Italy.

Not so sure you'll find it particularly quiet. The acoustics are not good and it is loud but not so overwhelming once you sit (at least not if you're far away from the bar).
