Default Big white space on THE VILLAGES MAP

Good Morning....

Could anyone help us figure out what is located above THE VILLAGE OF SANTO DOMINGO.....across EL CAMINO REAL road inside the big white space on the Villages map??

To the bottom left of the white space is shown:
RV Facility and Jennifer L. Parr Kestrel Preserve

What is that building and other objects shown on the satellite view
which would be located in the BIG WHITE SPACE ON THE TV MAP........

Above that building (whatever it is) appears to be a big green space on the satellite or a golf course area..........is that part of TV? Or not?

This big white area would be to the left of highway 27/441 but adjacent to The Villages' "Village of Santo Domingo"......

Just trying to figure out all the white spaces today............
Many thanks for any guidance.........

A realtor just responded. It's Spruce Creek South????

Now I understand why some sites claim S.C. is ten miles north while others claim it is 2 miles or 1/2 mile north.

My husband is guessing that building might be a water filtration plant or a sewage plant....the one seen on the satellite view.

Glad to read you are so thoroughly researching the terrain shown only as white space on the 'official' map of The Villages, SC. Please feel free to share any "interesting" discoveries you make!

Senior, I believe the area you are looking at is not The Villages property. It does belong to Spruce Creek South as stated above. The only big white buildings I assume you are talking about are probably Lowes, Bealls, and Walmart from South to North in that order, even though they are on the other side of 27/441. Hope this helps.

I was wrong. OOper just pointed it out. I didn't read your post thoroughly, Senior.

The answer is ...I dunno.

Gracie, with all due respects, I think you are in the wrong area. The Morse compound is no where near 27/441 nor Santo Domingo as the OP posted. I may be wrong, it's not the 1st time.

Maybe they should follow the example of old map makers and label the blank areas as "Here there be dragons!"

Thanks.....you are correct. Also, yes, it is the other side we were wondering about. Yes, your post is helpful.

Realtor just told us it is the water filtration plant. It seems to be in Sumter County on our map. Above it seems to be some green space and a golf course in Marion County.

We have located Walmart, Aldis, and others you mentioned. Good to know they are all close. My husband loves Walmart and was happy to see that it is a SUPERCENTER. We have one of the smallest Walmarts in America and it took forever to get that. He also loves Aldis....ditto, small.

We refer to this big VILLAGES map all the time to check out homes in The Villages. I've bought new maps over the years, so we do have the latest version. I also send all the maps to our relatives and friends. Keep that Mercantile Store busy, for sure.

Although we do remember most of the places we saw while in TV, we couldn't remember what might have been in the white space there, nor the white space by Harmeswood of Belleaire and also big white space by the Polo Grounds. We also liked that area very much.

While on the subject, Harmeswood always had a sign at the entrance that said "Do not use this entrance" or something similar to that. But, we never could find the proper entrance. Go figure. We went by it every day. So, also just wondering what is in that big white space.

Obviously, anyone could figure it's not Villages property.....just wondering what is located there.

So many posters on TOTV say "Do not buy near a sewer plant or whatever".......so being from afar........when we get there, just would be logical to know where everything is. We do have a pretty good remembrance...... with my one half of a brain and hubby's other half of a brain........just kidding.

Thanks again OOPER. Appreciate it.
