Smile Free meals for veterans

As in many previous years local restaurants are offering free meals to veterans on veterans day. Just google free veterans day meals and the list will appear. My schedule is denny's for breakfast, chili's for lunch and golden coral for supper. Golden coral has a huge line starting around 2 30 for supper that starts at 4 pm. Go around 7 or 7 30 and very short wait. They are the only one that does not require identification. I am sure the first person to respond to this will say you cheap ----- ------. And that might be my wife who knows I am conservative, not cheap.

Thank you for the reminder. I sent a list of restaurants to my son who is currently with the 82nd Airborne. I hope he can at least go somewhere for dinner after he gets off work. Enjoy your meals and thank you for your service.

A very nice gesture by all of the participating merchants (Thank you one and all), but I'm not going to risk being trampled by the herd of people looking for yet another freebie.

Thanks for the reminder about tipping for the actual price. I said there would be a negative post and sure enough the one about another freebie. Once a year, get over it.

Went to Bob Evans this morning, and got a coupon for all you eat pancakes and or dinner.

It's nice to see businesses reward veteran's for their sacrifice and defending the good ole USA!!!!

A wise person speaks. Hopefully from the standpoint that they'll leave more for the vets who are hurting economically or need to feel appreciated.
