We will have a period when we will be homeless. How do I get TV Post Office to hold forwarded mail before our house closes. I know from past experience that mail will be returned before your closing date. Any help with this quandry would be appreciated. Thanks.

You go online to USPS and fill out a form with your new address telling the post office to hold your mail until you pick it up or until the date you want it delivered to your new address. They will hold both the mail forwarded from your old address and mail sent directly to your new address. Just did this in October and it worked fine.

You should consider getting a P.O. Box during this down time.

The post office will only hold mail for 30 days.
