Cruising Alone
OK....here it is....
I am DYING to take a cruise. I have never done the 'cruise' thing. The man of the house does not want to partake. So my question to all of you is....Is it possible for a married woman to take a cruise, try a cruise, whatever, without the husband, and not be considered 'available'??? Are there cruise options for those of us (I am guessing I am not alone) without having to pay for the 'single' thing?? Any advice would be appreciated. |

Go for it! I went on a couple cruises alone and it was great. You meet the nicest, friendliest people on a cruise! Actually, that's how I found The Villages! I met Bonnie on a cruise 4 years ago and she would say what an awesome place it was. Here I am! I even met my partner on a cruise....neither of us were looking for that.
 We became friends and continued as friends for a couple years and now here we are. Actually, if interested we are going on a 3 night cruise in February on RCCL Enchantment if the Seas. When we booked the rates were very cheap. We even have a friend joining us who we also met on a cruise. The solo rate was only a bit over $300. That is with all taxes and port charges. Which is very reasonable I have no idea what the rate is now for FL RES. You are welcome to join us if you would like, so you don't feel alone. |

Norwegian Breakaway has studio cabins also, just toured them the other day. Access to the studios is exclusive, key card. There is a very nice lounge for the solo travelers also.

We've met single travelers several times on cruises and they are having a great time. One said she loved the pampering available, but the quiet of the trip helped clear her mind and made her appreciate life more. Don't be afraid, you aren't the only single on board and you'll enjoy the company of a lot of people.
