Don't think you want to hire someone from street? Weeds should not be too bad this time of year. If your property is not to large, you might be able to control yourself. If not, I suggest hiring someone reputable. Just my suggestion. There might be some people out there, that have recommendations, and who are reliable.

I wouldn't hire off the street either. Check the Daily Sun, there are opportunities there to hire someone to pull weeds, etc. This time of year, not many grow, and if you do not want to pull the weeds yourself, get a bottle of spray Round Up and give any weeds a squirt.

What's the difference between hiring someone off the street and someone who places an ad in the newspaper? They're both strangers. I'd be leery of either.

I think what they meant was, by picking someone in The Daily Sun, you can choose a Villager that lives here, instead of hiring someone from the street. Yes it still is a stranger, but at least someone that can be notified or challenged, if there is a question. I know for sure, you don't want to be hiring "off the streets". It's a shame we have to think like that, but we learn these things, as we live here.

I would not hire anyone to pull weeds by the hour. They could drag out a one hour job to four hours.
If you are going to pull weeds for me.................bid the job, you take the risk not me.

Be cautious when using RoundUp. It can migrate to surrounding plants. Spraying on weeds in your lawn will leave a brown spot for most of the current season.
I have a neighbor who used Roundup to kill weeds in rock beds. Eventually all of his shrubs died.

Difference is it is not a sign stuck in grass somewhere on 441, but an advertiser that is in our paper with a continual presence, and someone that an interested party can check them out through our TV.
Also, I didn't clarify where to spray the Round Up. I use it in our landscaping areas, with a spot spray to just kill the weed and not everything growing around it. I never use it on our lawn. But, I do carefully spray inside the doughnuts we have around our sprinkler heads to keep them clear.

I would suggest you use round-up, but only spray the affected areas. The product has a long nozzle attachment, that can be easily directed to affected area's. The product info is clear, that one should not spray onto scrubs. Use only the amount reccomended. So far, so good.

You can try round-up in a small area and see how it does. Then you can spray the rest of your affected area's. Having someone pull your weeds can be expensive. Round-up would be, more cost effective.
