Closed on new home less than 3 months ago. We now have multiple ceiling cracks, where slanted part meets flat. Also finding grout line cracks in kitchen tile. Wondering if others have had similar problems? If so how well did the repairs work? Not looking forward to the repair work. Especially the ceiling. We saw a resale with a ceiling patch that was so obvious we would not consider the house. We are thinking we should wait before having the repairs done as there will be more to come. Any advice welcomed.

As Bogie said, call Home Warranty now to get these cracks repaired. If more show up, just call and HW will get them fixed for you for the first year. Be sure and get a home inspection about six weeks before your first-year anniversary so any repairs can be made before the year is up.

We had a crack in two ceilings. Home Warranty sent someone out, and their fix is flawless. Our neighbors had a crack fixed, and it reappeared. She waited till after the home inspection, so when it reappeared the house was over a year old, and HW wouldn't do anything.
So I suggest you have the cracks fixed as they appear. Then if they reappear, you might still be under warranty.

We had a few cracks fixed within the first month of buying a new home. There were several more a month later that appeared, so we called the warranty department. They said we should wait until near the end of the first year to have them fixed, if they send someone out every time a crack appears the repair company will start charging us for it??? Anyone know if this is on the up and up? Seems like they should come out as often as required to fixed issues.

I never heard of the repair company charging the customer for too much warranty work. Maybe someone else has had experience with this.
