I had met one of the Kendricks (producer- Directors ) and heard a talk about the film.
Intercessory prayer is a current Bible study I am doing, and have a God-given gift for. From that perspective, the film seemed overly simple and less spiritually powerful than the time I spent this morning in prayer and study.
The characters are well-cast and the little lady who is the prayer warrior was a hoot to watch and played the part comedically.
The rest of the acting was Ok, but not enough to lift a dull plot...meaning highly predictable feel good comeback stuff.
The film was 2 hours, which was 45 mins too long. The climax of the movie is wayyyyyy before the ending...
Leaving the film nowhere to go but for the formerly stalemated couple to achieve sappy romantic perfection.

Thanks for the review. I like these movies on occasion. There was one made in Leesburg, Florida which I am trying to remember the name of but it escapes me. I watched it while donating platelets at the Villages One Blood building near the Villages Regional Hospital back in 2011. I will look for it the next time I am there if I cannot remember the name of it. The premiere was at the Old Mill Playhouse I believe???
